Hi, I’m Karena — the mama behind Memphis + Me.

Memphis + Me began in April 2023 with handmade hair accessories, sewn during nap times and late nights. I named the shop after my son, Memphis, because he’s the reason I took the leap in the first place.

I had always dreamed of owning an apparel shop, so in early 2025 I slowly began incorporating graphic tees and sweatshirts into the brand. What started as a small addition quickly grew into something bigger than I imagined. Last year brought tremendous growth, new opportunities, and the flexibility to expand my apparel line in ways that truly reflect my style — comfortable, quality pieces made to be worn on repeat.

While I’ve scaled back on hair accessories, they’ll always have a place here. They’re where it all started — and handmade will always be at the heart of this brand.

In my free time, you'll usually find me at a Seattle Seahawks or Mariners game with my husband, Alex, and our son, Memphis. 🏈⚾

I love to travel (Australia is the farthest I've gone!). I'm obsessed with true crime, and we have the sweetest cocker spaniel named Hauschka. 🐾
